my car’s engine is straight up dying and it keeps over heating, i cant get an alignment on it without paying for a 200 dollar part and i keep getting flats on the front tires because of the alignment issue being so severe. i have an oil leak on top of that and the a/c isnt working & i cant roll down the windows because if i do they won’t go back up & my blinkers arent working. i had to pull over on the way to work today because it got so hot and i almost passed out, even though it’s only february in alabama.
ive been trying to get by with just bandaids on the car, because im working at 7.50 usd an hour and paying rent, my phone bill, my moms phone bill(shes living with her abusive boyfriend out in the country and i CANNOT allow her to go w/o cell service, at the very least), my car insurance, gas and groceries.
my car is basically unfixable at this point. it needs all sorts of parts that would add up to way beyond the price of another car. several mechanics have refused to work on it, and the only ones that will have told me i need a new car immediately. hell, the car straight up stopped running while i was making a left on a busy highway to turn into work.
if anyone has any money to spare to help me afford to get a used car id really appreciate it. anything helps and im stretched so thin as it is. ive received amazing donations in the past, some of which have kept me going beyond what i ever thought possible.
tldr; my livelihood, and my disabled mother’s livelihood depend on my ability to get to and from work. my car is beyond reasonably fixable and has stopped running in the middle of a busy highway, leaving me in very dangerous, potentially life threatening situation. nothing like uber, taxis, lyft, buses, etc run near me, out in the country. im begging for some help, i know ive asked before and the way its looking ill probably ask again, but everything ive worked for after my dad died in 2016 will be lost if i cant get to work.
