my dad died suddenly in 2016 and my disabled mom and i lost everything and became homeless. i had to move into my uncles house. he is a massive hoarder and the house is disgusting. ive tried to clean in the past but he gets furious if i touch anything and starts throwing things and yelling at me and im terrified
i work a job making 7.50 an hour and i have to pay my moms bills on top of my own. my mental health has gotten extremely bad and ive gained a bunch of weight. im miserable and struggling constantly to make bills and leaning heavily on donations to get by.
my friend has offered to room w me and help me with rent while i get on my feet, but i have to be able to get there. its a roughly 20 hour drive and i desperately need to get my car brakes fixed(they are nearly metal to metal) and get some money together in order to make the trip up there. im desperate, this is like an entirely new start for me, and the pay is so much better there.

i attempted to transfer to another store within my current company but my homophobic manager seems to have purposely given me a bad reference just to hurt me so my transfer was rejected. im gonna have to start job hunting from scratch. (i will be contacting corporate about this and other gross behavior by my manager tho)
im really sad, i loved my job and now ill probably be unemployed for longer than first expected because of this.
