Everyone goes on about how algorithmically-targeted ads are so creepily precise that they know everything about you, but I still can’t convince my Google ads that I’m not pregnant, I don’t own a horse, and my purchase of a home thermostat was a one-time thing and not the start of a comprehensive thermostat collection.
[the full story is here on my gofundme, currently at 950/1250] but long story short, my dad passed away suddenly and i was stuck in a hoarders house with no where to go, making 7.50 an hour and paying my disabled moms bills. with donations i was able to move 20 hrs away to stay with a friend but my work transfer didnt work out due to my store managers purposeful, malicious bad reference so im at square one with my job search. im still paying my own bills and my moms and im having some car trouble after the long drive up here. im on my last 30 dollars.
