hands down e pluribus unum has been the best singularity so far because

a) elizabeth was given a relationship with nero that while not necessarily relevant to the the overall plot was pretty nice and touching and yet again proves how good nasu is with pairing characters, which is something that elizabeth had been lacking in her appearance in septem and a little in orleans

b) karna and arjuna had a character arc that stayed true to their myth while also giving arjuna some form of closure on their rivalry, culminating in an extremely profound moment of character development and self-actualization for arjuna at the very end

c) edison’s relationship with karna and helena was fun and heartfelt, and serves as a pretty good foil for medb’s relationship with cu and the other male servants

d) billy and robin’s small but enjoyable moments of camaraderie

e) geronimo

f) nightingale, amazing in all respects and calling out bullshit wherever she went. some of the best interactions you had were with her and throughout the singularity she was a continuous monument of compassion and a fundamental desire to help humanity

g) tesla and edison dominating the demon pillars together, and being really fucking salty and petty about it

h) the cliffhanger duel between scathach and li shu wen at the end truly giving a sense of both suspense and finality to the singularity

i) rama and sita’s wonderful, sad, and romantic story, with rama being a great subversive figure against toxic masculinity by delivering an inspiring speech about love being a powerful motivator and a precious thing to fight for and protect

j) mash’s character being further fleshed out, with a good nasu-style flashback in the beginning that really set the tone for the singularity and her subsequent development

k) no shitty titty jokes, for once
