Imo, what I really like about Saber in Stay Night is that her design is simple, non-sexualized and tries to stay true to the “English lore” of King Arthur and their traditionally chivalrous character. It doesn’t rely too hard on making her interesting for the sake of eye candy by giving her a design that caters to the male eyes, yet she’s treated as the mascot of the franchise for her impeccable design. Saber’s design is so good that it disappoints me how the Fate franchise takes a completely different approach with GO.
